"Bat wing" six-sided cream plastic tuner button. Tuner shafts have 'safety string' holes to anchor the string end.

Tuner case is diagonal with "F" stamped on the back like the originals. Very smooth action. 

Best currently available tuners for restoration of '70s Fender guitars originally equipped with similar diecast Schaller manufactured "F" tuners.

If you have an earlier '70s Fender with crummy stamped steel "F" tuners you will need to have the holes on the back side of the headstock counterbored approx. 1/4" deep to fit these new tuners. We recommend that this job be done only by an expert luthier experienced with vintage Fender guitars.
